A moment of Silence for the fics I will never write

So this is relatively new, but I've been thinking about it, so I might as well post it. I  haven't delved into fandom in last year and a half or so. I  have some fics sprinkled between a couple of fandoms but nothing big. In fact the most active I've ever been in a fandom is Supernatural and well after my dad's heart attack last year I just sort of fell off the fandom wagon completely. Even when things settled out and I  was able to concentrate without feeling something nasty was going to happen the second I  let my guard down I couldn't really get back into the fandom side of things. 

By that time SPN  had lost a bit of its sheen. It wasn't nearly as pretty as it used to be and the fandom itself seemed to rather have imploded. So I  kept hidden, didn't even read fanfic. I  started to read a bit of HP last summer but I then I  stopped again when classes began. I haven't felt that "new fandom"  happy shiny feeling in a while.

And then along came Star Trek. And I *know*  it's not a new fandom. It's the first fucking fandom for Christ Sakes. But O.M.G. It is so pretty and shiny and happy, and I  haven't been this excited for a fandom in forever. It's like a new love, it's all happy and shiny and nothing could ever go wrong in the world.

Don't get me wrong, I still love SPN, in fact Castiel has renewed that love in a big way. But this, I  was a TNG boy since I  was a kid. I loved that show. Of course that had a lot to do with Wesley Chrusher, and Riker. And now, now *facepalm*  I'm such a Kirk girl it's not fit. I'm all flaily and hyperbolic over Kirk and Bones and Spock, and all I want is smash them together in a sticky w.nderfully dirty mess. *happysigh*

Now I need to find more Pon Far fic. I've almost got the new cast in my head enough to risk reading Old ST. Just as long as there is angry kinky Pon Far sex, and Kirk/McCoy sexing.

Also I've begun to open my journals up a bit more. Here's hoping this works.
