o.o I'm skeered! If you're not a knitter, feel free to ignore this post.

Has anyone knit the Cherie Amour????? I need to know avg yardage and gauge. I've read both the gauge of the handpainted yarn and the yarn I bought. The difference is a stitch per inch. Mine gets about 3.5 on 10 needles and the handpainted gets 4.5 on a 10 or 11 according to the site.

I'm about ready to swatch this to find out wher I fit into this. I'm a tight knitter usually, and I know I have to loosen my stitch a bit to get the right feel but I don't know how much.

As to the yardage. I bought 8 skeins of Sirdar Denim chunky, which has 171yds per 100gs where the handpainted is about 165yds per 100gs. I'm making the biggest size, to give me a little bit of room in the chesticles.

The end question? Do I have enough yarn????

The reason I ask is that the colourway I have was discontinued in 2006, and I went through my Lys's supply.  So unless I somewhere find someone with a stray ball somewhere buried in their stash, I'm screwed. :(
